How to put the Devithor widget on WordPress, Shopify, or a plain site

You do not rebuild the site. You publish a flow in Devithor, copy one script, and paste it where the page allows a script before </body>. WordPress and Shopify are ordinary websites for this purpose. Devithor does not require a plugin from those companies’ stores. Starter is ₹4,999 a month before GST, as published on 16 October 2026.

What do you finish inside Devithor before you touch the website?

Register, write a short flow, and publish it. An unpublished draft does not answer on the live site. The embed uses your bot’s slug. The script looks like this, with your slug in place of the example:

How do you paste it on WordPress?

Use a place that accepts a script in the footer of the theme, or a header-and-footer field your site already trusts. The visual block editor will often strip a script tag. If the tag disappears after you save, you pasted it where WordPress treats it as content, not as code.

You need a person who can edit the theme or install a footer-script field you already accept. You do not need a new theme and you do not need a Devithor plugin. We do not ship one in the WordPress directory.

After you save, open the public page in a private window. View source and search for widget.js. If the file is not there, the chat button will not appear, no matter how finished the flow looks in the builder.

How do you paste it on Shopify?

Online Store, Themes, Edit code, then theme.liquid. Put the same script before the closing body tag. That is the usual place a snippet loads on every page. A custom-liquid section works if you would rather limit it to one template.

Devithor is not listed here as a Shopify app you install from their app store. Do not wait for an app card that we have not published. The script is the install.

Duplicate the theme before you edit code if you are not the person who usually does it. A broken theme.liquid takes the shop offline. The widget cannot cause that if you only insert the script and do not delete surrounding tags.

How do you paste it on a plain HTML site?

Open the page template and place the script before </body>. If a developer already has a shared footer include, once is enough for every page that uses it. Pasting it twice loads two buttons.

If the site is built by an agency, send them the script and the slug, not a screenshot of the builder. Ask them to confirm the tag is on the URL you will advertise.

Caching and cookie banners sometimes delay scripts. If the button appears only after a hard refresh, say so internally. Strangers will not hard-refresh.

How do you know the paste worked?

A stranger’s phone, not your editor. Open the live URL, see the button, send one message, receive one real OTP, and find the lead under a colleague’s name. That is the same “done” as the one-day article.

Check the slug. A script that points at the wrong bot will look alive and write leads into the wrong place, or into a sample bot if you left the example slug.

What should you not add to this install?

Do not add a second chat tool “just in case”. Two buttons teach the visitor that you are unsure who will answer. Do not wrap the script in a screenshot for the agency. They need the tag.
